How To Pray Like a Saint
| Share

Communities of Prayer is dedicated to forming people in prayer. There are 3 types of prayer we focus on: Lectio Divina, Liturgy of the Hours, and Eucharistic Adoration.

Lectio Divina- “…is truly capable of opening up to the faithful the treasures of God’s word, but also of bringing about an encounter with Christ, the living word of God.” —Pope Benedict XVI

Liturgy of the Hours- “Those taking part in the Liturgy of the Hours have access to holiness of the richest kind… Contact with the riches of this liturgical prayer… will give Christians authentic spiritual food.” – Shorter Christian Prayer

Eucharistic Adoration- “I heartily recommend to the Church's pastors and to the People of God the practice of Eucharistic adoration, both individually and in community. Great benefit would ensue from a suitable catechesis explaining the importance of this act of worship, which enables the faithful to experience the liturgical celebration more fully and fruitfully.” – Pope Benedict XVI
"In a world where there is so much noise, so much bewilderment, there is a need for silent adoration of Jesus concealed in the Host. Be assiduous in the prayer of adoration and teach it to the faithful." – Pope Benedict XVI

See submenu to the left for more information on each type of prayer.
