Blessed Louis and Zelie Martin
Before combining with Remnant Resource our shirt company was called LZtees. "LZ" is in honor of Louis and Zelie Martin, the parents of Saint Therese, the little flower. Louis and Zelie were declared Blessed by Pope Benedict XVI on October 19, 2008.
This couple is a great example of the holiness. Louis and Zelie lived in 19th century France and raised five girls, all of which became religious sisters. Louis supported the family first as a jeweler, while Zelie worked from home as a lace maker.
Matt and Angela Gill founders of LZtees, strive to imitate Louis and Zelie in the support of their family and in raising Saints. LZtees supplements the Gill family, allowing Matt to work for the Church, and Angela to stay at home and raise Saints.
LZtees was also formed out of John Paul the Great's call for a New-Evangelization. Our goal is to create Catholic culture through apparel. The Gill's were inspired by other Catholic shirt companies, Totally-Catholic Tees, Catholic to the Max, Monk Rock, who are awesome Catholics with holy families. They showed us that Catholic business can create culture and support the family.
Matt and Angela have worked for the Church as youth directors, Catholic school teachers and religious education directors for over 13 years. On our many retreats and pilgrimages we designed shirts for our youth groups. We received so many positive comments and the desire of other groups and individuals to purchase our shirts that we formed a Catholic Shirt and Apparel company specializing in group orders, allowing others to also create Catholic culture and raise money for their apostolates.
We thank you for you for supporting our family, allowing us to raise Saints and work for the Church and for creating Catholic culture.
